Jonas Gründler

M.Sc. Biology student

I am interested in the diversity, ecology and behaviour of insects, especially in social behaviour and chemical communication.

My main study organism is the queenless predatory ant Dinoponera grandis (formerly D. australis), on which I am studying the cuticular hydrocarbon profile and its role in task specificiation as well as the effects of environment and colony identity on its composition.
